  Fried Mashed Potatoes
From: The Kitchens of MadClikr and Dan and Bonnie Ceppa
Yield: 4 Servings

Potatoes:
2 cups mashed potatoes (I recommend using Alton Brown's Mashers recipe)
cheese (to taste - I recommend chedder)
Batter:
1/2 cup flour
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
For Frying:
enough oil to cover potato balls

Mix mashed potatoes and cheese together. Mold mashed potato mixture into golf-ball sized balls and freeze for at least two hours. Heat frying oil. Mix the flour, milk, egg, and salt. Dip the mashed potato balls into the batter, making sure to evenly coat the entire ball. Fry until golden-brown. Enjoy!
