  Calico Meringues

Yield: 24

2 egg whites
1/2 cup sugar
1 pinch cream of tartar
3/4 cup M&M's or chocolate chips

Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until foamy. Gradually beat in sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold in chocolates. Grease and flour a large cookie sheet (or, use a large non-stick cookie sheet). Drop the meringue by teaspoons onto the cookie sheet and bake in a 250 degrees F oven for 30 minutes or until the cookies are firm to the touch, but are still white. Allow to cool. Store in an airtight container. Enjoy!
